Studio FADE was founded in 2013 by Annachiara Legnani. We have over 30 years of combined experience and extensive experience in dealing with complex listed building applications, refurbishments and new built projects.
Our philosophy is simple: to maximize the potential of each property within our clients’ budget, whether it be a simple refurbishment, structural renovation, or high-end fit-out. We build strong, trusted relationships with our clients through honest, professional, and creative advice, cutting-edge design, and budget-conscious intelligent build solutions.
We pride ourselves on being able to listen to our clients’ needs and translate their vision into beautifully thought-out spaces, unique to them. We start by listening and learning about our clients to understand how they live and the environment in which they wish to live. Reflecting a love of simplicity and a sense of order, the originality and authenticity of our design schemes are always carefully considered yet effortlessly inspirational.
Annachiara grew up in Bologna,Italy, gained a Bachelor Degree in Architecture in Boston, MA & Msc. Architecture and Advanced Energy Studies at the Centre of Alternative
Technologies.
I Started my working career in Martha’s Vineyard,MA., after grinding my teeth into some interesting high end residential projects on the island I moved back to Europe and found London as a great place to call home.
I have gained invaluable experience in the field since my move to the UK 18 years ago. I have collaborated with several high end UK firms where I gained more and more architectural experience and grow her interest in sustainability, interior design & heritage building, being involved in several commercial refurbishments as well as high end residential and interiors.
My strengths are interior architecture and design as well as creating some bespoke furniture pieces to suits the briefs. I am keen supporter that good design should be available to everyone, no matter how small or big the brief is.
I have cultivated my passion of architecture and art by travelling extensively around the globe. I am a keen cook having learned some London renowned chefs.
I have perfected a recipe for delicious Creme Caramel and a very authentic Tagliatelle al Ragu’.
Anna grew up in Vienna, Austria, studied Architecture and became a registered Architect in both Austria and the UK in 2018.
After studying in the western part of my home country and falling in love with the mountains I moved back to Vienna and gained experience in an international renowned studio in the centre of Vienna, specialising in temporary architecture structures in public spaces and social housing projects.
A move to Wellington, New Zealand, widened my view on architecture, culture and building regulation on the southern hemisphere. Similar to my work in the office in Vienna, the practice in Wellington specialised in not specialising, allowing me to work on a number of different projects in both residential and commercial sector.
Since moving to the UK in 2018, I have been involved in multiple residential projects in and outside of London. I love looking at different kind of spaces and finding the best solution to create the perfect vision for our clients. I believe the design journey is a process that includes the client and the location itself. Everyone has different needs and dreams, my aim is to find out how to make those dreams reality.
Although I love the energy of London, you can still find me near the mountains whenever possible.
My Austrian schnitzel and deserts have become a staple here in London, and I am the first to go for a quick swim in the sea or the Hampstead heath ponds, even when the weather doesn’t suggest it!
